Toddler Group Tour If you attend a local toddler group you may have seen myself and Jayne of The CheshireNailDoctor giving mums, childminders and carers a little treat, a mini massage or manicure. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has welcomed us warmly and it has been lovely to get out and meet everyone and raise some funds for the groups along the way as they provide an much-needed service to the community!
Open Day Fundraising We have been out and about supporting our local schools, providing free massages for weary parents at both the Grappenhall Pre-School Open Day and Grappenhall Heys Primary School Spring Fair. Both events were incredibly well attended and lots of money was raised.
New - Baby Massage and ‘Ask a Midwife’ Sessions I have some exciting news – The blueskybaby Baby Massage and Ask A Midwife sessions are now Pay-as-You-Go. The reason for this change of format was my own conscience really. From a commercial point of view it is better for clients to pre-pay but from a mums point of view I remembered how off-putting it was to pay and commit to something with a new baby – I mean who knows what will happen day to day. I want the sessions to be relaxed and fun as I think pay-as-you-go lets things evolve naturally rather than rigidly. I am also mindful that people go on holiday etc and it would be a shame for them to miss a week, and with the six-week courses running concurrently I couldn’t see a way to be flexible. Another reason was that, as mums you need the support when you need it, as 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, whatever, but you need it NOW, not waiting weeks for the next course to start. We all know you’re in a much different place a few weeks on down the line so to really be responsive to my clients needs, it needs to be pay-as-you-go. Again some mums will want to come for a few weeks to learn the massage routine and then move on, but some mums I envisage will want to keep coming past six weeks. So that’s my decision, and it’s a bit risky for me as if no-one comes its going to cost me money, but I’m sure that’s not going to happen and I hope that the flexibility will appeal to you and you will come along. The cost will be the same as the course, £10 per session, remember its really two baby groups combined into one – baby massage for 45 mins and 45 mins with myself and Lynda having a chat, cuppa and biscuit. I have also got some other local baby group providers lined up to come in and talk about what they offer, and the ultimate aim is to become a one-stop resource for local private baby group info! I’m really looking forward to it, the first one is next Tuesday 18th March at 1pm at Thelwall Quays community Centre,

Hotel Holistic
blueskyholistics have also been chosen as the Lymm Hotel recommended holistic therapy company. All their guests will be provided with our information to enable them to visit our treatment room in Grappenhall as part of their stay the the hotel, and we will be offering a mobile service for their guests also.
The Big Launch The launch of blueskyholistics at Grappenhall Community Centre was a great success with many visitors enjoying free drinks, nibbles and mini taster sessions of the treatments we offer. Steven Arnold (a.k.a. Ashley in Corrie) was our special guest and enjoyed a drink and a massage courtesy of Margaret too. Our first celebrity client, he returned for a treatment and thoroughly enjoyed a hot stone massage.
