blueskybaby Massage Classes & 'Ask a Midwife' Session

An exciting new concept in baby classes, a blueskybaby infant massage and ‘Ask a Midwife’ session allows parents and carers to learn to massage their babies led by a qualified instructor during the first half 45 minutes and then relax with a drink and a snack while we are introduced to Lynda Gifford, a local midwife with 40 years experience. As we discuss our experiences and any problems we may have encountered Lynda is on hand to answer any questions you may have in a fun and informal way. Drawing on her extensive experience we can discuss anything from birth experiences to breastfeeding to sleeping to PND. Nothing will be out of bounds and the focus is on us enjoying ourselves, however if there are issues you would like to discuss in private, Lynda will be happy to accommodate this too.

To facilitate this holistic approach to baby groups we have found a great venue, The Quays Community Centre, Thelwall New Road. Sharing a car park with the Spar Shop and The Quays Nursery means ample free parking and inside there is plenty of room for buggies and the room has carpeted floors, refreshments, toilet facilities and even sofas. Located centrally between Lymm and Stockton Heath it is very accessible from Grappenhall, Thelwall, Appleton, Warrington etc.

Run within school and pre-school friendly hours the 90 minute classes are unhurried, relaxed and informal and we love to meet all babies including those with special needs. Parents (mums and/or dads), carers, childminders and nannies all very, very welcome.

Babies are encouraged to express themselves, and all babies cry at some point! Do not worry our groups are very informal and everyone will be in that position eventually too.

The sessions are £10 each time you attend, the pay-as-you-go format allows you to attend as soon as you feel ready, and the flexibility to come and go as suits you. Each week we will run through the massage routine from start to finish (or as far at the babies let us get to!) and follow this with our as a midwife session, making two baby groups in one.

If you would prefer to pre-pay a number of weeks in advance this is possible with our credit card facility on this website, see ‘buy online’ page, or perhaps someone would like to pre-pay a few sessions as gift?

If you have a group of friends you can organise a blueskybaby massage course in your own home, for just £8 per person. Lynda may also be able to attend, subject to her availability.

Private one-on-one tuition in baby massage is available at a cost of £25 per session and takes place in your own home or at our treatment room in Grappenhall Village.
